Bio of Wade Wassenberg

Overview

I'm in my early 30's. I've been programming professionally for over a decade, but wrote my first program on an Atari running MS Basic when I was 12. I think all it ever did was put my name up on the screen in flashing colors (if I remember correctly). I took a couple of programming classes when I was in High School, and got hooked. First I became a gw-basic/quick-basic expert (or as much of an expert an untrained programmer can be), then I quickly migrated to Turbo Pascal. Anyway, I got hooked on it, and one day a friend of mine told me that I could actually make a living doing that sort of thing, so I looked into it, and sure enough. Prior to that, I had designs on becomming a Chemical Engineer... but then I found out that Chemical Engineers and Chemists really don't do the same thing, and since I wanted an Engineering degree, I turned to Computer Science.
